About Us
Youth Connect Queensland is a Muslim youth organisation created by youth, for youth, dedicated to serving and empowering Muslim youth across the Brisbane and Logan area.
Led by a team of committed youth leaders, we deliver programs that support spiritual growth, leadership development, and educational success. Our initiatives include monthly halaqas and masjid sleepovers, annual youth camps, free Maths tutoring for high school students, career nights, and regular youth outings.



Imam Akram is the Imam of Slacks Creek Mosque and Chairman of the Council of Imams Queensland. He actively supports Youth Connect by delivering talks, working closely with youth leaders, and providing ongoing Islamic guidance and mentorship. His involvement helps shape programs, develop leadership, and nurture strong, faith-driven Muslim youth grounded in Islamic values and community responsibility.

Adil Ali
President (Amir)
Adil provides overall vision and direction for Youth Connect Queensland. As a teacher at one of Queensland’s largest Islamic colleges, he brings a wealth of knowledge, mentorship experience, and deep community involvement, guiding the organisation with wisdom, integrity, and purpose.

Ahmed Ahmed
Head of Social Media
A Pharmacy student at Griffith University, Ahmed manages Youth Connect Queensland’s digital communications and social media strategy. With strong experience in online engagement, he ensures consistent messaging, outreach, and community connection through effective media platforms.

Mohammed Hassan
Vice President – Programs & Operations
A second-year Mechanical Engineering student at UQ, Mohammed oversees the planning and delivery of Youth Connect programs and events. He is actively involved with UMB Youth Shura. He focuses on operational excellence, youth engagement, and ensuring programs run smoothly and effectively serve the community.

Mussa Saed
Vice President – Strategy & Community Engagement
A second-year Cyber Security student at the University of Queensland, Mussa plays a key role in strategic planning and community outreach. Actively involved in Dawah, and he is passionate about serving Muslim youth through meaningful content, mentorship, and community initiatives.

Abdiaziz
Head of Media & Creative Direction
Abdiaziz leads the creative vision for Youth Connect Queensland’s media presence. He oversees content creation, branding, and visual storytelling, ensuring our programs and impact are communicated clearly and authentically across all platforms.

Mohammed Ali
Kitchen Team Member & Youth Leader
Starting as a regular participant in Youth Connect programs, he has grown into a dedicated youth leader and valued member of the kitchen team. Working closely with the Head of Catering. Passionate about serving and mentoring Muslim youth, he plays an important role in creating caring, supportive environments where young people feel welcomed and valued.

Abdimalik Aden
Head of Youth Leadership & Mentorship
Abdimalik leads the Youth Leader and mentorship programs, working closely with the leadership team to train, support, and guide youth leaders. He plays a vital role in mentoring younger participants and developing confident leaders who serve the wider community.

Mohammed Elachrhadi
Head of Welfare & Catering
Mohamed leads the kitchen and welfare team across all Youth Connect events, ensuring nutritious, high-quality meals are provided for participants. He oversees food planning, preparation, and safety, while fostering hospitality and care that supports wellbeing, community bonding, and a welcoming environment where Muslim youth can connect, feel valued, and grow.
Board of Advisors
The Board of Advisors provides guidance, oversight, and mentorship to Youth Connect Queensland’s youth leaders. Drawing on their experience in leadership, education, and community service, board members support strategic direction, governance, and decision-making. Their role is to advise and mentor youth leaders, ensuring programs remain impactful, sustainable, and aligned with Islamic values, while empowering young leaders to grow with confidence and responsibility.

Abdul Khan

Abdul Khan serves as the Managing Director of Youth Connect Queensland and is a well-known community leader recognised for his outstanding service. He's the founder of the Logan Roos Football Club, and was honoured as Logan Citizen of the Year for his impact and leadership. Abdul plays a vital role in supporting Youth Connect across all areas, bringing people together, mentoring youth leaders, and ensuring initiatives succeed. His dedication, unity-driven approach, and tireless service make him the backbone of the organisation.

Mohammed Saheed serves as the Chairman of Youth Connect Queensland and is a highly respected and active member of the Muslim community. He is deeply involved in daʿwah and supports multiple Islamic organisations across Queensland. As a business owner and accountant, he brings strong financial insight, leadership, and guidance to the organisation. His wisdom, dedication, and sincere service continue to strengthen Youth Connect and inspire those around him. May Allah bless him with goodness in this life and the Hereafter.
